This event is free and open to all impacted community members. What does impacted mean? The definition of impacted is "strongly affected by something". Do you consider yourself affected by the mass shooting on October 25, 2023?
"Impacted" refers to the individuals, groups and entire communities who have been affected - directly or indirectly - by acts of mass violence. Impacted can refer to:
- Family members, friends, and close associates of direct victims/survivors, who experience secondary trauma, loss, and disruption of their support networks and relationships.
- First responders, their friends, family, and support systems
- Community members not physically present during violence can also be deeply affected by the event's impact on their neighborhood, their own daily habits and ways of functioning, and general sense of safety.
